White Wine

White Wine
White wine is defined as grape juice (must) from a red or white grape, which has been fermented to produce an alcoholic beverage that retains the colour of the juice, be it a straw-yellow, a yellow-green or golden yellow colour.
Unlike red wine, white wine requires no contact with the grape skin to give it its colouring, so once the stalk has been seperated and the juice pressed, it can be fermented right away.
Contrary to popular belief, most white wines are best served between 9c and 13c, which is the optimum temperature for fermented white grape juice (white wine) and most white wines outside of this temperature range can taste flabby or tart, with bland flavouring.
